Choreography and Movement Analysis

The main course material will be the body itself and its relations to time and space. According to the phenomenologist Maurice Merleau-Ponty the course aims at re-exploration of the world in our lived experience. The external world is accessible only via our own body and its movement in space and time and its relation to objects. The course focuses on different qualities of movement and exploring composition becomes key in terms of choreographic structure led from micro- to macro-composition and from individual to collective expression. Courses are suitable for people, who wish to concentrate on their self-development as well as for artists, for whom it can open different perspectives on their own work. Interdisciplinary collaboration, in particular with students and lecturers of humanities is welcome.
