Public art courses are aimed at everyone who would like to get acquainted with art and design. Taught over one semester of studio work and lectures, the courses also include a wide variety of special programmes. Students have the chance to visit lectures of international guests, attend guided tours at distinguished institutions and gallery exhibitions. Throughout the year Scholastika organises international art and design field trips (e.g.: to the Venice Biennale, Salone del Mobile in Milan and Berlin Gallery Weekend). School premises will be made available to all students for their own creative work and individual development.
Our lecturers are one of the best contemporary designers and artists. Scholastika closely collaborates with names such as Krištof Kintera, Vladimír 518, Adam Budak, Aleš Najbrt, Maarten de Ceulaer, Veronika Ruppert, Studio Dechem, Elric Petit, Jiří Kovanda and many others.
Art courses serve not only to improve one’s own creative work, but also as a foundation for successful college admission. Our goal is to encourage each student to transfer his theoretical knowledge in practice and gain necessary skills.
Student work is presented each year at school and/or gallery exhibitions that further enable them to gain important experience in exhibition installation and organisation.
