Graphic Design A
Develop your practical and creative skills in graphic design under the guidance of Kristýna Greplová.
The form this course will take is directly dependent its participants. Based on individual experience, we will determine the goals we want to achieve during the semester. We will find a common thematic line. We will start at the level of intuition and inspiration and will determine the boundaries within which we will operate.
We are interested in the structure and system of the designer’s work - experimentation and error are the initiators of interesting solutions and the final form thus varies. The course is definitely not about agency or commercial work. We will not be fulfilling an imaginary client’s wishes, but want to find our authentic approach that will give us more confidence to present and defend our work. Every project we undertake often goes through a complicated approval process. That is what we are interested in. We will act as each others’ opponents, have a critical debate and try to stand our ground. In terms of practical tasks, we will explore the different disciplines of graphic design - logo, typesetting, composition, working with format and typography.
